What started as a countryside retreat for two city dwellers quickly transformed into a globally recognized lifestyle brand. Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge are the creators of Beekman 1802, a thriving e-commerce business and mercantile in Sharon Springs, NY.
Using milk from their goat farm, these resourceful small business owners began crafting soap, cheese and other goods in 2007. Before they knew it, the Beekman 1802 farm began to grow “beyond its fences” to include not only collaboration with dozens of local artisans, but also partnerships with major retailers.
