What do I do if Outlook is in “recovery mode” and it won’t start?


To diagnose and repair failing Office programs, you can use Office Diagnostics by:

  1. Going to the Help menu and clicking Office Diagnostics.

  2. Click Continue, and click Start Diagnostics.

Note: If you cannot get into Outlook, you can run Office Diagnostics by clicking on Start in Microsoft Windows®. Go to All Programs and select Microsoft Office. Select Microsoft Office Tools and then click Microsoft Office Diagnostics.
